Docter 8x22 info (1 Viewer)

Hi,
has anybody used a Docter 8x22 roof binocular? I know of a pair possibly available cheap and wanted to know if they were any good. If they're just another average pair of mini roofs I'll leave them alone.

Thanks, Des.

Des, I think these models are either no longer made or perhaps just no longer imported here. Were two lines concurrent not so long ago: a standard and a version with aspherical elements which had the better eye relief. Most retailers have sold off stock now but www.actionoptics.co.uk still have the standard model and and www.focusoptics.co.uk have the aspherical in their "Specials" sections.
There's a mini review of the aspherical model at :

Thanks for that Norm. The reviewer seemed quite impressed with the aspheric model. I think the ones I've seen are non aspheric though.

I have owned three Docter rifle scopes and they are better then the Conquest rifle scopes from Zeiss. Their binos are quite good and are comparable to offerings from Kahles and Minox.
