Chameleons and birds, Monte Gordo, Algarve (1 Viewer)

Despite mixed weather, we had a productive time birding by bicycle and on foot from Monte Gordo from 11th to 23rd October.
The non-avian highlight was 3 chameleons basking in the sun on the fence of the tennis court at the Vasco da Gama hotel, where there were also Hoopoe, Sardinian Warbler, Serin, Stonechat and Northern Wheatear.
We had 88 species overall during our stay, and Gonçalo Elias’s ‘Birding Hotspots’ guide (Castro Marim / Vila Real) was helpful, along with other nearby sites that we found for ourselves.
Will try to answer any questions about birding in this area if anyone is interested in more information.
