Hi there first of all does anyone know of anybody ringing near this area?
I photographed a willow warbler today and just reviewing the pics and noticed the ring, unfortunately it was unreadable on my pics. Avocet today too, stunning bird, this was seen at the wildlife centre.

There is a ringing group around the Cowers Lane area run by Geoff Mawsons called Sorby Breck ringing group. That's the only one locally that I can think of.

Hi dave, thanks for your reply.

Imagine it could have been ringed anywhere on migration, not necessarily nearby. Judging by how many get trapped at sites like Portland etc its amazing we don't see more ringed warblers!Had a Chiffy a while back with colour rings that had wintered down south somewhere...need to look up where!
Have a feeling there still is a no ringing policy around the Res'?

Cheers
