Hi, once again I know that there are many days and possibly more species to go this year but I thought that I would get the bulk of the species sorted. It was a good year in general for me with thirty three species being noted. I did manage to get photographs of all of them but the quality was not always Countryfile calendar standard so apologies for that.
As with the dragonflies I'm including the location and date of the first sightings plus any other information that may be of interest.
1/ Peacock. Corby Old Village 9th of March.
2/ Brimstone. Summer Leys 13th of March.
3/ Small Tortoiseshell. Near Corby sewage works 19th of March.
4/ Comma. Near Glapthorn Cow Pasture 2nd of April.
5/ Orange-tip. Near Corby sewage works 8th of April.
