Cheers Phil - wasn't too sure on the name, but I looked up as many online pics as possible, and that was the conclusion I came to, especially as this was shot in the wilds of Crete,
though I guess they may be world wide

For Broad Bodied Chaser look for the brown patches on the wings where they join the body.

Great shot!! Don't run down the zoom lens, sometimes it's the only way to get macro shots.

Cheers Mike - at the time, the 70-210 f4 was all I had with me. I'd have liked to get right into the eyeballs, like my Praying Mantis, but didnt have the macro lens with me
