First visit to Blithfield , gorgeous sunny day , very friendly locals topped off by super birds.

Highlights -

Started off with first Swallows of the year , two Black Swans , two Common Terns ,a greedy Cormorant nearly choked in front of the hide as what must have been a two pound fish disappeared down its throat.
Two Ospreys flew over Tad Bay around 3.45 pm , about half an hour later an Osprey reappeared and immediately went into fishing mode with a succesful crash dive , it then retired to a far bank tree where it remained in full view until we left around 6pm.
Day was rounded off with a walk along the dam wall where a flock of a dozen or so yellow wagtails were feeding , beautiful birds looking superb in the early evening sunlight .

Super day and as someone once said , I'll be back .
