Birds in Devon (1 Viewer)

I am spending two weeks from 6 August in South Devon (Ivybridge 1 week and Dartmoor 1 week). Any site suggestions from Devon residents which could accomodate a birder dropping off a wife who likes shops?
Many thanks.
John

Exeter. Lots of shops and in striking range of the Exe estuary, East Devon Commons, even the Axe estuary.
Totnes. More interesting small places for the lady wife and from there you can go on to south Torbay [ie. Berry Head] or down into the South Hams - Prawle and Slapton stand out.
