Hello !
Try to contact the Rome’s Lipu-Birdlife group:

… pay a visit to their Roman coastal nature reserve’ website:

... and finally pay a visit to these stunning Pine Bunting's pictures taken in Tuscany:

Cheers

Hi Chris,

As far as I know the only Pine Bunting reported so far this winter from the Tuscan coast was at Principina a Mare, but it was not ID'd conclusively. You might be interested to know however that there are 2 Desert Whetears currently wintering on the Tuscan coast, both at traditional sites for Pine Buntings (one at Bocca di Serchio, the other at Principina a Mare), so you will probably want to check those areas anyway! Much closer to Rome, 2 Sakers are wintering at the Maccarese pools.

Are there any other species you are particularly interested in?
