Took a walk along the beach from Ainsdale to Birkdale today and saw a couple of birds that I'm having difficulty identifying....your expert help would be much appreciated !

beach birds - useless wader identifier

Okay folks...my id skills are improving slowly but waders and warblers still befuddle me . So can someone please tell me what I've been taking photographs of ?
