I took this at NT Clivedon house ( down the steps to the Thames ).
It was growing on a Yew!.

I have come across laetiporus sulphureus (chicken of the wood) looking like this before, It has had to fight its way through the ivy! As you no doubt know this is a good eater BUT would you eat one that has grown on a yew tree (Taxus = toxin ect)? Makes you think doesn't it.
