Anglian Water levels at Alton (1 Viewer)

Yet again (as in most years) I am mystified by Anglian Waters decision making regarding the water levels at Alton Water Reservoir. All winter when we've had plenty of rainfall they have had the water level 2-4 ft below maximum, now just as the Swans,Grebes, Water rail, Coots and Ducks have started to nest they fill the reservoir to the brim and submerge them !!
One of their own employees was bemoaning the fact regards the lack of and disappearance of young waterbirds.
I shall email the manager my thoughts.

As a regular visitor - I may be the only person to keep an Alton Water list - I'd love to know if you got a reply.
