Alexandrine parakeets in the Netherlands? (1 Viewer)

Greetings from Amsterdam!

Please could anyone confirm if these are alexandrine parakeets? They have small patches of red on their shoulders and they're quite big and chunky. Ring-necked parakeets regularly visit my birdfeeder, but these are much bigger and are quite distinctive.

Yeah, I've lived here for 2.5 years but it's the first time seeing Alexandrine parakeets I must have been visiting the wrong parks, haha

I've forged a relationship with a local group in Amsterdam. One of the juveniles is intensely curious, and likes watching what I'm up to through from the rail on the window. You don't get that from rose-rings, that's for sure.

Although they aren’t category C there are alexandrine too. We have a mixed ring necked /alexandrine mated pair in Cardiff

Not sure. Someone on our local what’s app was monitoring them but said he wasn’t sure if it was successful. The alexandrine was the female which might make logistics easier

Both species together in the grdn. earlier in the year…no prizes for guessing AP.🤣
