New year's day, so thought i'd have a go at a year list - my first one! It might spur me into making a bit more effort than usual!

Back garden:-

Tamar estuary (Devon side):-

A bit quiet today, but i still managed to see -

back garden:-

I've not been out birding either yesterday or today, however, my back garden came to the rescue with:-

Lots of busy Redwings on the other side of my garden fence too, i wonder how long they'll be around?
 
I had a visit to Plymbridge woods today, in between the rain, and visiting the woodland feeders were:-

On the river Plym:-

In the back garden:-

47. Long tailed tit

Hoping for a bit less rain this weekend!
 
Better weather today, so another trip to the Plym estuary. Had a good long look at a Kingfisher and also saw:-

48. Gadwall
49. Little grebe
50. Coot
51. Moorhen
52. Common sandpiper
 
Another day of good weather, had an hour and a half walk round Burrator reservoir which is still half frozen, but only managed 2 species:-

A drive down to Warleigh point and a look on the mudflats at low tide:-

Last but not least, in Co-op supermarket car park:-

My first outing for a while, too much work getting in the way of my birding. A frosty visit to bowling green marsh, Exeter, and i saw:-

After 3 hours of shivering it was time to pick the Mrs up from Westpoint arena arts and craft exhibition |=o| and head home.
Where have all the little Egrets gone? i've not seen any yet!
 
First trip to Thurlestone area today, with a gale blowing in from the sea. Had a walk over the footbridge to south milton ley, several Canada geese and Mallard and a raptor being mobbed by Crows, seemed like a Harrier but was a long way off. However, 4 species i did see were:-

65. Reed bunting
66. Greater black backed gull
67. Little egret (at last)
68. Fieldfare (lifer!)
