This local patch consists of the top of one of our bird feeders, visible from the kitchen, and a favorite perch, especially in winter. Here's a selection from the last year or so. Shouldn't be hard to ID!
A perch-patch! I like it. Quality idea, and some lovely photos of lovely birds- the Flicker is gorgeous. Do you have a patch/perch list? How many species? Any easy ones missing?
That's fantastic, what a great idea. If some of us create, or already have a natural or artificial perch, (not feeders) it would be most interesting indeed to see how many species land on it over the course of a year. I will have a go and post some pics when I have some. Thanks. Neil.
PS: Would be great if the original starter of this thread kept it going, I for one would certainly contribute.
Others ton he same perch have included Yellow and Yellow-rumped Warbler, Mourning Dove, White-throated nd White-crowned Sparrows, Dark-eyed Junco, Am. Godfinch. There are probably others, but I don't keep a list specifically for that perch. I'll let people know if anything new turns up.
