House sparrow
The house sparrow is an introduced species in Australia. Interestingly, I've learned that these birds are less common in Sydney than they used to be, decades ago. Anyway, here is a nice picture of a male sparrow. There were a few others nearby (male, female and juvenile).- Leafbringer

Hello, new to birdwatching in the garden
I installed a bird feeder in the garden. Surprisingly, I took good pictures with an almost 20-year-old camera, the Panasonic FZ50. A Great Tit and a Sparrow (am I correct?) are my pictures so far. Mountain View, California USA - longshot sparrow
Seen in late October, only a couple of yards from the Bay. I tried Birdnet twice; each time it could not give a certain ID, but suggested Brewer's Sparrow. The sound quality was so bad (vehicles, equipment, wind, waves, people, at al) that I am surprised that the app could make any suggestions...- Fandango739

Is this a sparrow?
I was in a truck so I couldn’t get a good picture without spooking them. They have the typical sparrow coloration, but they looked bigger. They were between a robin and a song sparrow in size. The male (top) seemed to be feeding the female (bottom) as she rested on the ground.- MTBirding98
