Farmers' Bane
Parrots, mainas & doves are the bane of farmers as they descend enmasse on crops & destroy them. Here, a pair of male & female parrots are enjoying a sumptuous supper of fresh sorghum corns. But parrots are my favorite birds & pity them when they are shoed away by farmers. Lol!- S K Gudi

Mystery Parrots
Please help with this I.D. I took this shot last month at Hun Nal Ye in the Verapaces region of Guatemala. I am at a loss. No red wing patch, red bills and lots of purple in wings.... I find nothing like this in any guide I have for any region. Any thoughts??? Thanks, Jeff- jbyrdman67
