I feel the same about my upcoming purchase, being not the youngest anymore. I totally understand the way you used to look earlier at (possible) flaws other people mentioned and searching for them.

This morning I went to another shop and was able to try the SF 8x32 and NL 8x32 again and also for the first time the NL 8x42. The difference with the last time I tested these binoculairs was the bright sun that shines today. All three showed glare, the SF 32 en NL 42 the least, de NL 32 a...

Tenex, you may be right about just pick one because it will be good. But about good value for resale I am not sure. It seems a lot of you guys here are buying and selling their bino all the time. Are they selling back to the shop or on eBay and getting a good price? It's hard to imagine here in...

What did you not like? I think I wouldn't like the fact that they are dangling on the neckstrap or are stuffed away somewhere when the SF is in use.

Thank you Richard for your extensive comment. It helps me to be aware that a new optics will be a addition, that I still might want to take my Vortex sometimes with me.

That is what I am leaning to, at this moment. A addition with very good handling and very good lenses.

Thank you Joe! Also for your advise. I also have three optics: a 8x36 monoculair often in my pocket, the 10x42 and a spotting scope 15-45x65.

Yes, I have noticed already. I saw for example that you do like the SF 8x32. About this bino, how do you handle the lens covers, do you use them?

    Confused: Swarovski, Zeiss, 8x, 10x

I do own a Vortex Diamondback 10x42 and am still happy with it. But now that I can afford it, the idea of buying a top class binoculars is starting to take shape. For example the NL Pure 10x42. I thought dat I needed a 10x42. But the Swarovski and Zeiss 10x42 seems too heavy. So I tried the NL...
