Zeiss Conquest HD 8×32 VS Leica Trinovid 8×32 HD?

I have both the Leica 10x42s 2012-2015 and the HDs, I am very sure I am not missing anything compared to other 10x42s. Cannot go wrong with either the Conquest or Trinovid in 8x32, just a matter of preference.

I am starting to lean to separation not fungus.

Nikon 8x30 EII - Strange Issue Inside Lens?

I cannot deceipher whether fungus or seperation from the photos. IMHO either is a negative. I would send them back.

Thank you for a very honest read, with humor. You included CA, but don't forget the veiling glare.

Best 8x Bino’s for the money

Yes you are correct, the ball is in their court. Based on my experience with the exception of companies such as Nikon, Kowa, and Zeiss, the level of work required to accomplish consistent production of a prc binocular from an independent manufacturer is lacking IMHO.

Best 8x Bino’s for the money

There is also the new prc binocular, the Sky rover banner cloud for about $500, however make sure you get a good sample.

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

I am keeping an open mind also, reminding myself what happened to Zenray. Additionally it is a $500 bin.

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

I would wait on pulling the trigger, enjoy the NLs. I would wait until there is a US vendor, so if you get a bum sample it is easier to deal with. Wait and see if they improve qaqc issues.

Product Review: The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8 x 42 Binocular

Until it needs service, LOL. (I have to give credit though, that was a very good play on words).

Product Review: The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8 x 42 Binocular

It depends, how much effort (which translates to $$$) is put forward for quality control. To get there the price will have to go up. Time will tell, most globally will buy a Nikon 7, and be quite satisfied. Additionally a roof is more complicated than a porro to manufacture in large numbers.

not even 20, but your envy and coveting does show.

    Opinion on CN

It is not that, it is the bs about a prc binocular being better than a much better binocular (NL) costing much less. It does not devalue anything. but the hype is over the top because they think they are getting a 9 for a 3. Go enjoy your popcorn.

    Opinion on CN

IHF on CN when discussing the new bc from prc ,WOW, they have really drank the Koolaid over there. "In fact I don't know of any notable optical innovations by Swarovski. I would like to learn more if there are any. Swarovski strikes me as the ultimate follower company, somehow out-incrementing...

    New Binocular Bargains Thread

Let's see how the new kid on the block does down the road. The price will rise if they provide after sales service in the US by a stable vendor. Who wants to ship them back to the prc. I am sure many thought zenrays were great at one time.
