    Wee grey one

When we got back home there was a Grey Fantail had arrived. This was the only time I saw one in the garden. In fact it appears it was the only one I'd seen since way back with Hans at his forest water hole in Queensland. I really thought I'd seen more than that!

    Bird

Hi bicc and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Alexander is almost certainly correct with it being a Blackbird, I've not seen one as white as your one seems to be, as mine usually have an odd feather or two. But the yellow bill is diagnostic anyway. You can read more about...

Nest box full of chics! Help. What are they and what can I do to be helpful

Hi Janey and a warm welcome from me too. The best way to help is to leave some feed for the adults, so they can start their day with a feed, enabling them to concentrate on foraging for the correct food for the nestlings. So this would be seeds, peanuts and fatballs and most important would be...

A neat looking bird this one Niels. That's a super picture too. I see you were at Asa Wright; I was trying to find some info about it a while back, got the impression they no longer have a guest house, but looks like you can go in for the day. Is that what you did?

    Hello from virgini

Hi kqnash and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. So that's 9 feeders in total? I'd perhaps suggest removing one every 5 days to a week, with the last one being removed about two weeks before you move. I fear you will still feel it's hard, but by the time you've actually...

    Spectator

In the grass beside the track where the Skylark was enjoying his bath, was a Yellowhammer, I'm sure he was wondering what was going on. It had been a while since I'd seen them on the patch, so that day was sure turning into a red letter day LOL I've a feeling they may be recovering from the...
