Identification

Seems to have been very similar to Gough Moorhen.

Distribution

Formerly occurred on Tristan de Cunha.

Taxonomy

This was a monotypic species[1].

Gough Moorhen was split from Tristan Moorhen. They have both in the past been viewed as subspecies of Common Moorhen, G. chloropus.

Behaviour

Tristan Moorhen was flightless.
