Distribution

It is endemic to the islands of Vanua Levu and Taveuni in Fiji.

Subspecies

• P. t. tabuensis:

• Fiji (Vanua Levu, Kioa, Koro and Gau); ‘Eua Island (Tonga)

• P. t. taviunensis:

• Fiji (Taveuni and Qamea)

Habitat

Subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.
