Identification

17–19 cm (6¾-7½ in)

Distribution

Australasia: found in mountains of Guadalcanal (south-eastern Solomon Islands)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Formerly, this species included Santo Thicketbird.

Habitat

Mostly found in mountainous humid mossy forest.

Behaviour

Diet

They forage in the undergrowth probably for small insects.
