Identification
15–16 cm
Notice the shape of the bill, with straight upper mandible and upcurved lower mandible. Base of lower mandible is paler than rest of bill.
Distribution
South America: Interior north-eastern and east-central Brazil
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Arid caatinga.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of various types of insects.
