Identification

30 cm

  • Green back
  • Blue crown
  • Yellow-green body
  • Darker wings
  • Blue primaries
  • Black-tipped racquet-like tail extensions
  • Whitish-grey bill

Male

  • Red spot on blue crown

Distribution

Philippines: found in the Sulu Archipelago.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and mangrove forests.

Vocalisation

Trumpet like calls.
