Colorado (sharp-shinned?) hawk with black and white breast

I thought it was a sharp-shinned hawk because of the shape of it's tail. I think a cooper's hawk has a more rounded tail. I really thought I was looking at the front, maybe because the head was turned so completely. Again, sorry about the blurry image.

Colorado (sharp-shinned?) hawk with black and white breast

This bird looks like a sharp-shinned hawk, but it's breast is mostly black, with some white specks. This image was taken in Denver, and it has been very cold for several days. Sorry for blurry image.

Can anybody ID this small bird in Denver, CO from blurry photo?

Thanks to all who responded. I do not think it's a goldfinch. Could be a tree sparrow. I had one other photo, but it was even worse, so I tossed it.

Can anybody ID this small bird in Denver, CO from blurry photo?

Sorry, I don't have the best lens. The bird was some distance off. The bird was in a tree by a man-made lake. Photo was taken on December 4th. It was probably around 50 degrees F.

    Taken near Denver, Colorado, USA

Thank you. That gave me enough to try to do some online research. It is similar to a Cassin's Kingbird. But, I suppose, the white around the tail feathers give it away as a Western. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Cassins_Kingbird/id FWIW, here is one in flight.

Photo was taken on September 11, 2022. Warm sunny day. The bird was fairly high up in a tree. Any ideas?

Is there an online bird identifier for desktop/laptop - not phone ?

Merlin seems like an interesting app. But when I upload photos from my DSLR, to my desktop computer, it would seem absurd to then move the photos to my phone. Is there some website that will identify birds from an uploaded jpg?

    Backyard: hawk catches pidgin

Denver, Colorado, USA. Not that pleasant to look at. But the hawk is impressive. I think this is Sharp-Shinned Hawk. It just snowed yesterday, and apparently the hawk was hungry. It was out there tearing apart the pidgeon for some. Seems it wants to leave nothing except feathers and beak. It...

US Colorado Hawk: Coopers or Sharp Shinned?

Thanks for replies. I was thinking it was a Coopers. Glad I asked.

US Colorado Hawk: Coopers or Sharp Shinned?

I have trouble telling them apart. It's height is about one food above it's perch. From tail feathers to head, maybe 18 inches.

    Sharp-shinned Hawk? Denver, Colorado USA

I get hawks in my back yard from time to time. I never seem to able to get a good picture of them. This hawk is not very big. From the fence where he is standing, to the top of his head is about 16 inches - I think. It is not that much bigger than the pigeons I get around here. I think it is...

What are these round birds on my finch socks? Denver, CO. USA.

I get a lot of house finches. This has the same coloring. But the body shape is different. The body is ball shaped.

White pigeon in my backyard - Denver, Colorado, USA

As I understand it, white pigeons have to specially bred. They are usually released at events, then find their way home. I think they are a type of homing pigeon. When I first saw the pigeon, I thought maybe it was just stopping in for a bite on it's way home. I hung around the regular pigeons...
