Garden/Yard List 2022
Moved into my new old house about a week ago, after a year rebuilding. Lots of bird life around, including a great spotted woodpecker the other day. This one below seems to be a regular visitor, sitting on my tv antenna on top of the house. Lovely bird! (Catalunya, Spain)- Ruud3105

How's your 2022 list going?
Work, poor weather and being tied up in the final stages of the total rebuild of the house I bought last year, means very little birding lately but still a few new ones for the Year list: 83. Purple Heron 84. European Bee-eater 85. Little Bittern 86. Wood Sandpiper 87. Common Pochard (L) -

70. Rose ringed Parakeet 71. Spotted Crake The rose ringed parakeet was an easy one, enjoying an almond in the neighbors almond tree! The spotted Crake was a good one, it's a bit of a rarity of where I live and had a very good look at it at my birding spot! -

Been so busy with work lately that I hardly managed to get out. This week I have family visiting from Netherlands and we did a hike up in the mountains in Girona. Not aimed at birds but still managed to net 2 more for the 2022 list 68. Mistle Thrush 69. Carrion Crow unfortunately missed out on... -

How's your 2022 list going?
Been buried in work this week so didn't step out of the house the whole week. This morning I had an hour before my first meeting so went out to my local patch, a small river with woodland close to the house. Saw some good birds in just 50 minutes and clocked a new Lifer (#130) 66. Hawfinch -

Aiguamolls de l'emporda
Took a little trip this morning up to Aiguamolls de l'Emporda - it was my first time up there and it was great. Seen lots of white Storks, Flamingo's, green winged Teals, Northern Shovelers, Dunlin's, a few raptors - marsh harriers, Kestrel, buzzard and a bunch of smaller birds, highlight being...- Ruud3105

How's your 2022 list going?
Went this morning to Aiguamolls de l'emporda, a fantastic marsh area about an hour and a half drive up north towards the French border. Had a great morning, though still a tad disappointed as I expected to find more waders than I did. But still a good day to up my 2022 list and add 2 Lifers...
