    I came across this moth yesterday (09/05/24) in woodland just north of Southampton (Hants, UK). I tentatively thought it was a Wood Carpet until I read the section that says it doesn't fly until Jun. so would be grateful for correction Only got the one pic I'm afraid. Thanks

    I've also been trying it in the field and it seems to be accurate for the common UK species. It's picked up a few I wasn't hearing but could do when I turned myself round to point my hearing aids in the right direction.

    Azure Damselfly, 13/04/24, Hertfordshire Record of Azure Damselfly (Coenagrion puella) I did look for dragonflies yesterday but could find only Large Red Damselflies.
