In what source(s) have you most often heard Mexico referred to as "Southern North America"?

    APM MS-6x30

You can fix the diopter yourself. Find the three tiny screws under the rubber eyecup, loosen them, and twist the ring until it is calibrated to the diopter scale.

    Nikon 7x50 Prostar discontinued

To my knowledge, the Nikon 7x50 IF WP SP "Prostar" hasn't been available in the West for some time, but it was available directly from dealers in Japan. I checked Kyoei-Osaka's website a few days ago and found the message: "New orders are suspended" One more classic porro bites the dust. Get...

    Baby S

That price seems to me to be an absolutely insane amount to spend on binoculars for a child.

The hard case that came with my Bose QC35 headphones fits my 8x32 pretty perfectly. This one is aftermarket but looks to be the same size: Case

    Habicht with sticky rubber

My Habicht 8x30 developed sticky leatherette and Swarovski replaced it. I never considered it to be a problem with the leatherette, however. I must admit that one late night I stupidly applied shoe polish to it, and it became irreparably sticky afterward. I don't know what I was thinking; I knew...

best pocket/compact binoculars for opera & shows?

I never go to a show without my 6x15 Nikon Mikron. I've also got the 7x15 but I find the 6x more comfortable to use.

    Habicht for birdwatching?

It's really nothing too specific that makes me call out the 10x40 as the best of the three Habicht models. I like the 40mm objectives, and the 4mm exit pupil. Any EP less than 4mm feels tight to me, so that's something I appreciate about the 10x over the 8x even though it's a very small gain. It...

    Habicht for birdwatching?

Special indeed!! Those sound beautiful- I have thought many times about a navy blue Habicht, but never knew they actually existed. Being military binoculars, I suppose the Swedish Habichts have individually focussing eyepieces?

    Habicht for birdwatching?

If you prefer 10x, you should get the 10x40 without regrets. I have all three Habichts (7, 8, and 10,) and I think the 10x is the best of them, generally speaking. I birded exclusively with the 8x for several years, and it's just fine for that purpose or any other. I can tell you that since...

Anyone can recommend a good binocular under 200 euro? I prefer 8x32.

These are probably pretty solid for the price. Orion 8x30
