    Really interesting. I think they are quite young in terms of eagles, and they may not breed successfully but fab to hear that they are still there, and getting on with things. Thanks for revisiting.

    Blunt-nosed Viper is no doubt a potent snake but I doubt there are that many fatalities per year in Cyprus. They are quite a different looking beast being an ambush predator.

    No records of red kite on ebird for the Kiev region and only a single record away from the Western border. Obviously doesn't identify the bird in question but gives justification to the default.

    Its grey not brown, and cold tones in super so Mealy.

    As with Brian, I've seen lots from Torrevieja and La Mata but never close and often in tricky light.
