    Uk Peregrine Population Limit?

Eddie your nearly right ;-) It was mainly the heat last night why i couldnt sleep, then about 4 in the morning next door's damn Cockerels started, they are at it now as i'm writing this ! I love 99.9 % of most birds but them daft Cockerels come in the .1 % of birds i dont like. They belong in...

    Uk Peregrine Population Limit?

There will never be enough Peregrines to completly kill off the UK Pigeon population, thats ridiculous, the reason of course is that man will interfere before it ever gets close, and how will man interfere? Well because most are more fascinated (not to mention the downside of robbing for money)...

I wish there were more Peregrines (lots more) in the Lakes near where i live, maybe they would kill off some of these noisy *loody wood pigeons i have to listen to all day ;-)

Any News About Lake District Ospreys

Yes i have also read reports on the local teletext news here in Cumbria that people have spotted 2 Ospreys in the Bassenthwaite area. Maybe i will get to see them this year ;-) I say that because a couple of years ago i lived about 3 miles away from where the nest was (for 6 months) but never...

    Hand Warmers

I have used one of them charcoal hand warmers, however i stopped because i didnt fancy the thing accidently opening and burning a hole right through my Paramo pocket ;-)

    Windstopper Gloves

Dont bother with windstopper, its rubbish .... too expensive, no proper insulation, and when it gets wet its useless and take ages to dry. Trust me. You are better off with just normal fleece which will provide more warmth and hand movement, and then if it gets really cold/windy or starts to...

    I love Icebreaker Clothing.

Yes Merino is good stuff, however for them that like synthetics, i have tried them all (e.g. Powerstretch etc) and you cannot beat the Patagonia capilene Expedition Weight Tops, i use mine as a baselayer and midlayer and they keep you warmer an hell of a lot longer than Powerstretch does...
