Long-horn Beetle ID? (Bogogno, 28010 Province of Novara, Italy)

I found one case in transition. In Naples port, during a check on vegetable produce. But it does look like it but I can find nothing online for beetles in Italy. Need someone with a bit of local knowledge I think.

That looked pretty good until I checked distribution. Not found in Italy. But thanks for trying to help Harrybongo

Long-horn Beetle ID? (Bogogno, 28010 Province of Novara, Italy)

Hi All Saw this small beetle (12mm-ish) and took some pictures. I can't find it as a UK beetle. It appears to be a long-horn beetle but.....? Perhaps someone could ID for me? Yours, Gareth

    Wasp ID? (Holme Fen, UK)

Thanks. I have been looking at both of these on Steven Falk's Flickr account. They look pretty good to me but what do I know? I need a idiot key - if things were that easy.

    Wasp ID? (Holme Fen, UK)

Thanks for the suggestion Harrybongo. I see 5 yellow stripes on the abdomen and only 4 on the Mellinus arvensis. Also, the yellow bar at the base of the thorax looks longer on my photos. Mind you, I haven't found anything else.......

    Wasp ID? (Holme Fen, UK)

Hi All This is the last one from last autumn. 10 images of varying quality (straight out of the camera) but hopefully showing diagnostic information. Could someone please take a look and see if it is possible to ID? Thanks, Gareth

    Hoverfly ID? (Holme Fen, UK)

Hi All An outstanding hoverfly from last year. I think it is Eristalis nemorum - dark hind metatarsus, thinner than tibia. The face is very dusted perhaps with a thin stripe down the middle. The only other option I could find was E. arbustorum but the dark hind metatarsus thicker, than tibia...

    Shieldbug ID? (Cambridgeshire)

Hi All Bought an Asphodeline from a nursery today and got a free shieldbug. I am struggling with the ID. Looks a bit like a Box Bug but the antenae are reddish, the pronotum is slender and almost elegant. Could someone put me out of my misery please? Yours, Gareth

Hoverfly3 ID please? (Woodwalton, Cambs., UK)

I looked through Ball & Morris and struggled to find one with such narrow yellow bands. There is also the dark area that strays down the side of the abdomen. I can't seem to find a female like this. The abdomen of P. Albimanus seems to be pale on the side with no dark marking bleeding downwards...
