Welcome to the forum! Have a look at Baby & Injured Wild Birds - PLEASE READ!. Probably, a local bird rescue centre would be best if available. You may also start a thread in Information Wanted.

    Rescued a baby black-naped orioele

If there are stray cats/crows, then I think you are right to try to take care of it. Maybe there's a bird rescue centre nearby -- I have one near where I live, for example, though I don't know what it looks like where you live? Big cities should have them, hopefully. I don't know, but I don't...

Nice to see them lined up so neatly and with the seeds on the ground.

The ebird update - How do you like it?..

Merlin totally transformed after the newest update as well (just saying).

Absolutely lovely! The interplay of light on the water is sublime, the reddish head held at a unique and attractive angle matches the sun's highlights, and the blue water sets a firm foundation for the whole composition! The palette of colours you chose reminds me of an impressionist oil...

    Bird Song, Scotland

You can type: 'convert xxx to .wav', and you should arrive at one of the free online file converters. I've tried attaching .wav files to posts here, and it should work provided that it's not overly long (which it probably won't be).

Wearing white and talking while birding?

Ticks are a problem here as well, which is why I avoid walking through grass (which means pretty much ditching some paths when it's late enough in the season), which is good because it also gives birds privacy at a time when they most need it and it pushes me to expand into neighbouring areas...

Green Listing 2024 - Joint Thread

Had Sedge Warbler on May 1, too, but elsewhere; surprised it wasn't on the list, too. Locally, it's an uncommonish passage migrant (they might breed in a few small pockets elsewhere in Warsaw) -- a bit like Common Reed Warbler and Great Reed Warbler, though the latter two breed more extensively...

Green Listing 2024 - Joint Thread

Had Cuckoo on May 1, but I didn't suspect it wasn't on the list, so I didn't greenlist it (in other cases above, instead of following the same way home once again, I often prefer to take the bus and go for a walk elsewhere instead). EDIT: Too far for me to want to walk or cycle there, but it's...

Great picture! Love the colourful background with flowers, leaves and twigs, and waiting for more photos from the trip!

Green Listing 2024 - Joint Thread

Got Corncrake yesterday and Great Reed Warbler today, within some 2 km from home, but couldn't be bothered to properly greenlist them.

I love the eye, the pose, the composition and how close you managed to get to it. I also like how the bright greenish background matches the yellowish hues on this cute little bird.

Great job photographing it without disturbance! I like the way its tiny head peeks out from among the rubble of concolorous rocks. The orange and blue splodges and the blurred bokeh make it look like a watercolour against the background of parchment paper.

Birds with very tight habitat requirements.

@SteveClark Maybe you could request that this thread be moved to Birds & Birding, as it looks very interesting and doesn't seem to be getting the attention it deserves in this subforum.

    Warbler -Bulgaria

Yes, BirdNET ranked the three options by probability, though not sure how accurately it reflects reality.
