It may be true that August is rarely the best month for birding but it's what I've got! I will be in Oregon travelling north to south along the coast from Cannon Beach to Newport. I'm always keen to see and photograph shorebirds and seabirds . Am I right in thinking it would be a bit early for shorebirds eg Sanderling and other peeps? I remember being on the west coast of Vancouver Island a few years back and there were very few waders but a few eg Western Sandpipers were returning on the other side of the island.
Any info would be most appreciated.
Many thanks,
Rosie.
