Rather distant fly-over
So the chat Alex had with the two guys produced the information that one of them, an experienced birdwatcher, had seen and photographed a Noisy Scrubwren that morning, which was on our list for the day. He showed us his picture which was on his camera. So after lunch we set off following his directions.

This proved to be some moorland above Cheyne Beach. But there was not a peep out of him, let alone any sighting. I've been well trained though, and was able to multitask too, remembering to keep an eye on the skies while searching on the ground.

So I saw a shape wandering around above us, but by the time I got this (the only usable image), he had drifted some distance away, so this is a heavy crop.

I had to go to the ID forum eventually, but they couldn't be certain. Most seemed to think it was a Little Eagle.
