Migrating Anna's (Calypte anna)

Anna's Hummingbirds occur all throughout Arizona, for some strange reason we only get them at my house during spring and fall migration. Guess they just don't like my yard much. This male has been standing guard near the feeders for about a week now, chasing as many others away as he can. I expect him to be gone at any time.
Habitat
Western United States and Northern Mexico found in scrub bush and urban gardens.
Location
Backyard, Hereford, Arizona
Date taken
October 10, 2010
Scientific name
Calypte anna
Equipment used
Canon 1D Mark III, 100-400 lens
