I don't think I have ever seen an image of a Hoopoe in a tree and you got a great image JJ!
 
A marvellous composition with this beauty, JJ! I've never had much luck with Hoopoes.

Lovely. You couldn't ask for more: crest raised, head turned just enough for a catchlight on the eye, squirmy lunch held delicately between the mandibles. You'll have been pleased with this one JJ!
 
A wonderful capture of this lovely bird.
I saw four hoopoes (2/2) during my SEA trip but couldn´t get a single shot of them; despite intensive search at these locations.
