Guanacaste Pointer
Spotted Sandpiper (Actitis macularia) One subspecies has been described ravus but is considered to be invalid. This Guanacaste Pointer is sporting winter plumage and has proven itself in local field trials but has yet to be selected best in breed in confirmation at the Westminister dog show. It is rapidly gaining in popularity, especially among invertebrate hunters. Sexes similar. Photographed during the Costa Rican field trials conducted in November along the shores of Bahia Culebra from Playa Galardonada in Playa Panama, Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica.

LOL! The pointer of choice for clamshooters. Gives a whole new meaning to the concept of birddog. Focus, lighting, timing, reflections, composition, and information all go without saying. ;)
