Crimson Patch (Chlosyne janais: Nymphalidae) Wingspan 4.8-6.7 cm (1.9-2.7 in). Nectaring Crucita (Chromolaena odorata: Asteraceae).
Habitat
Open to wooded areas with Tamaulipan scrub, flood plain.
Location
South of McAllen along the Rio Grande, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA.
