Bittern in flight (Botaurus stellaris)

This Bittern showed clearly for several minutes before eventually flying off (and giving me some nice flight shots as it passed)

@jax8832 Yes, it is the 600 f/11. It's my fairweather lens. OK for sunny days and birds out in the open, but not so good for dull days or shady woodland birding. For flight shots it's OK for larger slower birds. I've had some really nice shots of ospreys, herons, harriers, etc recently. But I had a fairly low keeper rate with hobbies on Saturday. It doesn't help that the AF only covers a limited area, so you have to track that much more precisely. And I'm very out of practice. It might get better as I get back into the swing.

I bought it used off MPB , so it didn't cost me too much and its nice to be able to carry a 600mm lens on a long walk just on the off chance you see something.
