Bearded Tit

After first seeing a pair at Rainham early January, I waited a number of weeks for a sunny, calm day for optimum photography conditions. It took over an hour in freezing conditions to re-locate the pair but after that it was pure heaven watching and photographing them. Unfortunately, they'd chosen a reedbed where the strong sun was almost in front of me, hence the blown whites of the reedmace in order to expose for the bird.

Full frame shot.
Location
Rainham Marsh RSPB, Essex

Panasonic DMC-G3 with 100-300mm lens, a micro-four-thirds system
