South Texas Plains vegetation area, Lower Rio Grande Valley, adjacent to Arroyo Colorado, Tamaulipan scrub (reclaimed land from an old dump site) at 6 m (20 ft) elevation.

Hugh Ramsey Nature Park, Harlingen, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA.
