Turtle doves in North Yorkshire (1 Viewer)

I'm mulling over going for the albatross over the next few days and noted that a certain well-known pub garden in North Yorkshire isn't a million miles from my route south. My partner has never seen a turtle dove in UK, but said she thought she'd read on Twitter that they hadn't been around there this year, which would be a bit sad given their parlous state. Anyone know if this is true?
