Thetford Forest, Firecrest (1 Viewer)

I was wondering, can people who visit Thetford Forest for birdwatching suggest a good place to see firecrest? I used to know Brandon Country Park as reliable for them, but it seems that they no longer occur there.
Also, is there an optimum time of year for the lesser spotted woodpeckers by the railway line? I seem to never visit in the right period, and have never seen one. I know the goshawks like sunny days in March, for instance
Finally, how regular are curlews at Weeting Heath? Not the stone variety, the normal scythe-billed ones. I saw them before but, again, am aware of zero reports now
