I can get a pair for around $1'000-1'200 so it's still far from the NL pure price and unfortunately my budget can't stretch that far

If you can get a pair of EL 8x32 for that price, that is what I would get. But if you have to pay over $1500 for a EL 8x32, I would start looking at the NL 8x32. You won't beat the EL 8x32 for that price.

Just get the EL 8x32. It is about 80-100g lighter.
141mm FOV is really nice! It doesn't need to be bigger.
