I was wondering if anyone had seen a Blue Tit's plumage quite as 'rad' as our tit box nester from a few years back. He certainly stood out in a crowd. I've not seen one like it since - I was wondering if it's genes might re-appear in another flush of birds over the following years - but no. I've seen many a feeding worn Blue Tit, but their plumage always has an underlying tidiness.

I have not. That's a really interesting bird, and a really good photo! It's probably a rare genetic mutation. The plumage is not worn, it's just colourrd that way!
