OK so its a bit 3rd division compared to Blanna, Bridges etc, but since I already wrote a guide on how to sea Leach's Petrels, I may as well link to that.
It good Manxies, Skuas and Sabine's Gulls in the right conditions pants for large shearwaters in any conditions. It must be the best place in the world to see Leach's Petrels in both numbers and proximity
Full details of whatconditions you need and where to seawatch from are here...plus I'm always happy to answer PMs on the subject.

Accommodation - living on the sea front I have never considered it. I expect that the cheapest is the Premier Inn attached to the 12th Man at Greasby.

There is a Holiday Inn opening in Hoylake

Alternatively there are plenty of guest houses and no doubt hotels in New Brighton - so you could conceivably see petrels from the window.
