Picture taken July 8, near Pagossa Springs, CO. Any help appreciated. I think they are Common Mergansers but have never seen one so want to make sure.

Thanks all for the confirmation. I saw them float upstream for about 1/2 mile before they turned a bend out of site. They were fishing as they went, saw some of the babies go down and emerge with small fish in their beaks.
