Identification
25–36 cm (9¾-14¼ in)
- Dark rufous-brown upperparts
Distribution
Seram in Southern Moluccas, Indonesia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly included in Moluccan Hawk-Owl together with several other species.
Habitat
Lowland primary and tall secondary forests and thickets. occurs from sea-level to 1750 m.
Behaviour
Diet
They apparently eat insects, but there is very little information available.
