Identification
18 cm. Black crown and bill, buff face, pale throat, brown iris, yellow neck streaked brown towards breast, upperparts black-brown barred rufous, underparts buff with brown marks on flanks, yellow legs.
Distribution
South-east Brazil and east central Paraguay.
Taxonomy
This species is monotypic.[1]
Habitat
Lowland dry grassland and open woodland.
