Distribution
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
It is sometimes considered conspecific with Sumatran Trogon.
Some authorities have moved this taxon to genus Apalharpactes.
Habitat
Montane rainorests, mostly between 900-2500 m. They are generally seen in the lower storey.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists of beetles and cicadas, which are generally taken in flight.
Breeding=
They usually lay 1 to two eggs, though sometimes a third will complete the clutch.
